The Karmee Story begins in 1999 the early days of the Sydney Coffee revolution……….Kamran a man with a vision starts roasting gourmet coffee. He is passionate; he cares. He takes pride and he roasts slowly, delicately and in small batches learning all the time. The coffee is well received and the Karmee brand starts to be known. A 25kg Probat serves Kamran well and Karmee flourishes.
In 2005, Paul Wilmot and Sara Laurence-Wilmot sample their best cup of coffee ever at the then Karmee roasting facility in Dickson Street Artarmon and decide this is a venture they must get into. Their lifelong business motto of ‘big enough to deliver, small enough to care’ is quickly put to work and Karmee Coffee quickly expands, not only bringing ‘Great Coffee’ to cafes and restaurants but also providing them with excellence in customer service, technical & training support as well as advertising & promotion.
A new chapter begins in 2007 with the acquisition of the current roasting facility at Cleg St Artarmon and 2009 sees the installation of a state-of-the-art, fully programmable Brambati Roaster. At 60kg the Brambati, ‘bambino’, is small enough to care about the roast quality of every bean but big enough to deliver plentifully and consistently, roast after roast, batch after batch….
At every stage of Karmee Coffee expansion and innovation, the business motto is never forgotten – big enough to deliver, small enough to care. Small enough to care about bringing you Great Coffee…..we put ourselves to the test year after year as we enter our blends into competitions, winning gold, silver and bronze consistently since 2006.
